Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Implied to be unconformable on the Khao Lak Fm of middle Jurassic in this Chumphon Basin.
Upper contact
Need clarification. Might be the Sam Chom Fm conglomerates of mid-Cretaceous if it is the same succession as in the in the Thung Yai Gr in the nearby Nakhon Si Thammarat Basin.

Fossils
Few bivalves and plant remains
Age
It is thought by Raksaskulwong (1994) to correlate with and be synonymous with the Lam Thap Fm of early Cretaceous in the Nakhon Si Thammarat Basin (nearby in the Lower Peninsula region); therefore the same age span is applied here.
